Try to use your imagination and to think about what you would like to receive in your box – remember the boxes need not be expensive, just make them interesting and tell others a little about your life. Local postcards Local shopping/tourists guide/local map Local paper/property section TV guide Takeaway menus Shells/pebbles Photos of your family/ pets/house/town Drawings by your children Childs comic Small treats/sweets (please make sure these are shop bought and have allergy information included) Stamps – Christmas/special occasions Small coins/notes Calendar Letter for your family about likes/outings/hobbies etc Photo’s of the local environment Interesting facts about your area/county/country Local shop carrier bag Local sports programmes e.g. football/rugby/cricket Local T-shirts etc (perhaps your children have a special local one they have grown out of, or you have a university or college in town and can pick one up for a reasonable price) PLEASE NOTE THAT THE SHOEBOXSWAP IS INTENDED AS A FAMILY ACTIVITY AND AS SUCH YOU MUST NOT INCLUDE ANY MATERIAL UNSUITABLE FOR UNDER 18’S IN YOUR SHOEBOX.
